Hi and welcome to my World of Warcraft website.  I have set this site up as an information source which can help people if they are struggling with something in World of Warcraft.  There are tips for levelling your character, earning gold, profession guides such as mining and alchemy.

Introduction to World of Warcraft

WoW (short for World of Warcraft) is one of, if not the most popular MMORPGs of all time.  Millions of people play it around the world daily and the playerbase is still increasing.  It is one of the all time greats and no doubt it shall be around for much longer to come!

It is set in the world of Azeroth, and takes place after it’s predecessor Warcraft III.  You the player take a role of one the heroes of Warcraft choosing from one of the many race and classes the game has to offer.  Along your journey you will encounter many friends and foes, form allies and accumulate enemies!

When you start out in WoW you will have a choice on what type of character to make and develop.  You can choose from eight different races and once you have chosen your race, you then select a class of character you wish.  As well as all those options as well, you will have a choice of customizing your character not only with a variety of professions to aid them in many different ways, but there are also thousands of items with different properties allowing you to be completely unique from anyone else in the game.

The main things to do in WoW is level your character.  You do this through earning Exp (experience points), acquire gold (WoW currency to purchase items), train your professions and for some people PvP (player vs player) is an important factor in the game as well.

There are 4 versions of the game available. The original World of Warcraft game allows you to advance your character up to level 60. WoW Burning Crusade expands the map and increases the highest level you can achieve to level 70. Then we have Wrath of the Lich King. This gives even more new map areas and increases the maximum level to 80!  Recently the highly anticipated World of Warcraft Cataclysm was released allowing players to reach up to level 85.  During this latest transition major parts of the game were changed allowing leveling to be more streamlined and easier to follow.

So far you can see there is plenty to do in World of Warcraft, but I have barely scratched the surface of what is available. Hopefully you will find this site useful in many ways. As this is such a large game and quite complex I do recommend you invest in a cheap guide which goes into great detail on pretty much everything there is to know!
