Alliance Leveling Guide

Zygor's Leveling Guide - Click Here!Welcome to my World of Warcraft Alliance Leveling Guide.  What I will be telling you here is the fastest way to get your alliance character from the ground up in the quickest time possible.  I have also included a list of every area which you will need to go and at what level to do it at, all the way up to level 80!

You may want to print out this page to use as a reference guide to make it easier to follow.

Each character race will start in a different area, but when you get to level 12 all the characters will move to the same area on the map.

Dun Morogh (1-12 Dwarf & Gnome)
Elwynn Forest (1-12 Human)
Azuremyst Isle (1-12 Draenei)
Teldrassil (1-12 Night Elf)

Those are the starting areas for each character race.  You will need to do all the quests that are available in your area before moving on, as you will need to get to level 12 before leaving.  Remember to gather new armour and gold from monster drops as you go along.

Darkshore (12-17)
Loch Modan (17-18)
Redridge Mountains (18-20)
Darkshore (20-21)
Ashenvale (22-24)
Wetlands (25-27)
Redridge Mountains (27-28)
Duskwood (28-29)
Ashenvale (29-30)

By the time you have done the quests in the order as shown above you should now be at level 30, or very close to it!  As you will have also spotted, a couple of the locations are duplicated.  That is because they have a variety of quests which span for many levels, you will have to revisit them.

Wetlands (30-31)
Hillsbrad Foothills (31-32)
Desolace (33-34)
Stranglethorn Vale (36-37)
Dustwallow Marsh (37-38)
Stranglethorn Vale (38-40)

Ok, again by the time you’ve done all the quests you should be at level 40, if you find you’re stuck a level or 2 behind, just kill some mobs to make it because if you start to lag behind the quests will just get harder and harder, becoming increasingly frustrating.  Remember to keep choosing to spend those talent points!

Badlands (40-41)
Stranglethorn Vale (41-42)
Feralas (43-45)
The Hinterlands (46-47)
Tanaris (47-48)
Blasted Lands (49-50)
Searing Gorge (50-51)
Un’Goro Crater (51-52)
Azshara (52-53)
Felwood (53-54)
Winterspring (54-55)
Burning Steppes (55-56)
Western Plaugelands (56-57)
Eastern Plaugelands (57-58)
Western Plaguelands (58-60)

This was where the world of warcraft alliance leveling used to end, but since the new expansions came out, burning crusade (which took levels up to 70) and more recently wrath of the lich king (taking it up to 80) we have expanded this section to accommodate.

Hellfire Peninsula (60-62)
Zangarmarsh (62-64)
Terokkar Forest (63-65)
Nagrand (65-67)
Blade’s Edge Mountains (67-69)
Borean Tundra (69-71)
Howling Fjord (71-73)
Dragonblight (73-75)
Grizzly Hills (75-76)
Zul’Drak (76-78)
Sholazar Basin (78-80)

Congratulations for reaching this far and I hope my alliance leveling guide has been proven useful to you.  Now you have done this there is much more to enjoy in world of warcraft, or you can just do it all over again with another character!  Good luck!
