Horde Leveling Guide

Zygor's Leveling Guide - Click Here!Welcome to my World of Warcraft Horde Leveling Guide.  What I will be telling you is the quickest way to get your horde character off the ground in the quickest time possible.  You will also find a list of every area which you need to go and at what level.  All the way up to level 80!

You may wish to print out this page as a reference guide on where to go and when.

Each character type starts in a different area, but then when you get to level 12-13, each character race uses the same areas.

Eversong Woods (1-13 Blood Elf)
Ghostlands (13-20 Blood Elf)
Tirisfal Glades (1-12 Undead)
Mulgore (1-12 Tauren)
Durotar (1-12 Orc & Troll)
The Barrens (12-20)

These are the starting areas for all the races of character.  You will want to do all the quests in each of the areas to gain valuable XP points and to gather new armour and weapons to replace the standard ones you start with.

Once you’ve replaced items, you may want to go to a vendor and sell your old items for some gold which you will inevitably need soon in the game.  Once you reach level 12-13 you will want to go to the following places to gain your next levels (with the exception of the blood elf who needs to go to Ghostlands as listed above.

Stonetalon Mountains (20-21)
The Barrens (22-23)
Stonetalon Mountains (23-25)
Thousand Needles (25-26)
Ashenvale (26-27)
Thousand Needles (27-29)
Hillsbred Foothills (29-30)

After being those places and having done the quests, you should now be at level 30 and just to add, some of the places above are duplicated.  The reason for this is some quests wont be available until you reach that level.  So you will need to go back and complete them to get the XP.

Stranglethorn Vale (30-31)
Thousand Needles (31-32)
Desolace (32-34)
Stranglethorn Vale (34-36)
Arathi Highlands (36-37)
Dustwallow Marsh (37-38)
Stranglethorn Vale (39-40)

So far then, you should now be at level 40.  Don’t forget to choose your talents as you gain these levels as it makes combat much easier!

Badlands (40-41)
Swamp of Sorrows (41-42)
Stranglethorn Vale (42-43)
Dustwallow Marsh (43-44)
Tanaris (44-45)
Feralas (45-46)
Azshara (46-47)
Searing Gorge (47-48)
Swamp of Sorrows (48-49)
Tanaris (49-50)

The Hinterlands (50-51)
Un’Goro Crater (51-53)
Burning Steppes (53-54)
Winterspring (54-55)
Eastern Plaguelands (56-57)
Western Plaugelands (57-60)

This is where the leveling in world of warcraft used to end, but with Burning Crusade that was taken up to level 70.  So you will have to travel to a new part of the map now to access the new areas.  After level 70, Wrath of the Lich King came out, so the current level cap is 80.  I will be listing the places you need to go now from level 60-80.

Hellfire Peninsula (60-62)
Zangarmarsh (61-64)
Terokkar Forest (63-65)
Nagrand (65-67)
Blade’s Edge Mountains (67-69)
Howling Fjord (69-71)
Borean Tundra (71-73)
Dragonblight (73-75)
Grizzly Hills (75-76)
Zul’Drak (75-76)
Sholazer Basin (78-80)

Congratulations for reaching this far!  I hope my Horde Leveling Guide and index of areas in which to go has proven useful.  Good luck with the rest of your adventures in the game, or do it all over again with another character
