WoW
Engineering Guide
Hi and welcome to my WoW
Engineering Guide, if you are someone who loves to see
explosions or if you are someone who loves to whip out
toys that can take out several mobs at one, you will find
that the Engineering profession might be one that appeals
to you. Though Engineering is a profession that is a
little pricier to level than, say, Alchemy, you'll find
that it can be a wonderfully rewarding profession no
matter what your class is. Essentially Engineering is
dedicated towards using metal to create small mechanical
aids that can help you in combat situations. The things
that you can make with the Engineering can help you cover
for areas where your class abilities might fall short and
it can be instrumental in helping you level.

The first thing that you should consider is what other
profession Engineering should be matched up. Mining is the
obvious choice as a companion profession because then you will
be able to produce the metals that you need to level your
Engineering. It is worth noting that if you have another method
of getting the metal, whether that is an alternate character
who is a miner and who can send you metal or whether you have
gold to buy the metal, you may decide to make Jewelcrafting
your other profession. The advantage to having Jewelcrafting
and Engineering is that you will be able to make some
impressively powerful items that are perfect for combat in
battlegrounds.
When you want to level your Engineering skill, make sure that
you know what kind of resources you want to allocate to it.
Engineering is perhaps the most expensive profession to level.
To make the different gadgets and products, you will need items
that you cannot procure yourself, even if you do mine, and you
are going to be spending a fair amount of time at the vendors
for basic goods. Leveling this profession can easily run you
out of the money that you make while questing so take it
slowly.
It is also interesting to note the sheer variety of items that
you can make with the Engineering profession. At the lower
levels, you can create decoys that pull enemies away from you
or practice locks that will allow rogues to work on their
lockpicking. At the higher levels, you can make engineering
specific mechanical pets or even a motorcycle, which is the
only two person mount in game.
As you progress through the Engineering profession, you will
find that you have a choice to make. When your character has
reached level thirty and when their Engineering skill hits 200,
you will find that he or she needs to decide to specialize in
Gnomish Engineering or in Goblin Engineering. The difference
between the two is the items that you are going to be able to
make different items. There are many lists online that talk
about the different items and trinkets that you are going to be
able to make so make sure that you check them out before you
decide. Once you have specialized in one branch of Engineering,
you cannot specialize in another.
Engineering is a great way to supplement your abilities and to
make some cash, so see what fun new toys you can make! Thanks
for checking out my WoW Engineering Guide and I hope it helps
you with your understanding of it.
