WoW
Jewelcrafting Guide
Welcome to my WoW
Jewelcrafting guide.
Jewelcrafting was the new profession
introduced with the Burning Crusade expansion for World
of Warcraft, and though it doesn't have the money making
potential of Mining or Herbalism, you'll find that this
new profession still has a lot to offer. With
Jewelcrafting, you are going to be making trinkets and
jewelry from the metals and gems that you can acquire in
the game. You will find that when equipped, these gems
are going to be instrumental in improving the efficiency
and deadliness of the bearer's attacks. If you are
thinking about getting started with Jewelcrafting, there
are a few things that you should be aware of.

Like other professions, you will find that Jewelcrafting can be
trained as soon as you enter the game, though you will need the
Burning Crusade expansion in order to do so. To get the gems
that you need to do Jewelcrafting, you can simply rely on the
prospecting ability that comes with it, though to maximize your
earning power, you will likely want to couple Jewelcrafting
with Mining. When you are Mining, you will also be able to pick
up some gems, as well as the ore that you can sell. You may
also be interested in picking up Enchanting as your other
primary profession, as you can then create items and then
disenchant them for more money.
There are several things that you can do when you are looking
at Jewelcrafting as a profession. For instance, you may choose
to make simple rings, necklaces and other trinkets, which can
be worn by yourself and other characters. When worn, these
items provide the bearer with a bonus to traits or some other
beneficial effect. As a Jewelcrafter, you'll be able to make
yourself small figurines that can be carried and then used for
a short buff.
The second and perhaps more lucrative way to use Jewelcrafting
is to cut the gems to allow them to be used in socketable
items. When an item is socketable, it means that there are
places on it where gems can be installed; this essentially
allows the weapon to get various buffs from the different gems
that are socketed on these. Weapons or armor are socketable at
the higher levels. Gems come with different colors, and you
will find that if you put the gems into sockets that are
coordinated to their color, you can get some impressive bonuses
to your character's abilities.
If you want to get started with Jewelcrafting, you'll discover
that you are in a profession that is highly sought after. Do
remember that it can be a little slow going, especially at
first. However, if you stick with it and make it to the higher
levels with this ability, you are going to find that you are in
a place where you can make plenty of gold and put together some
truly impressive items. This is a great profession that can
benefit every class, so see what it might offer to
you.
I hope you found this WoW Jewelcrafting
guide useful and hope you have learnt something
here.
