WoW Warlock
Guide
Welcome to my WoW
Warlock Guide, thanks for stopping by to have a
look.
Warlocks are characters who tamper with
the darker side of magic and though the other classes
might find them to be uncomfortable companions, no one
can deny that in the right situation, a Warlock can make
all the difference. Warlocks in World of Warcraft are an
impressively formidable class, and even when they are
restricted by the fact that they can only wear cloth
armor, you will find that they can definitely hold their
own in any situation that you care to name.
Due to their low armor rating, they are definitely better off
far away from the actual fighting; to that end, as a Warlock
progresses, he or she will be able to learn to summon a minion
to help you. At level ten, you will learn to summon your first
minion, which is the Imp. The Imp can be a good damage dealer,
but it can be fragile. The next one that you can pick up is the
Voidwalker, which deals comparatively less damage, but has
excellent armor and can serve as a tank. The Succubus is much
more geared towards player versus player combat, while the
Felguard takes more points spent in the Demonology talent
tree.

One of the strengths of the Warlock class is that it can be
used for solo questing or for raids. When you are looking to
run a Warlock and you don't have a group, using the Affliction
talent tree, where you will be able to put your efforts into
damage over time, is a good way to do it. Warlocks who choose
to quest on their own will find that the Voidwalker is an
invaluable asset in this instance, and when managed correctly,
can allow a Warlock to get through things with a minimal amount
of damage.
On the other hand, if you choose to do raids, you will find
that you are going to be expected to either handle damage or
crowd control. With Fear and Howl of Terror, a Warlock can send
their enemies fleeing away long enough for the damage dealers
to take care of them. Make sure that you wait until an optimal
time to do this, as they might stir up other monsters as they
flee. The Warlock's ability Banish allows them to hold demonic
creatures long enough to let healers work as well.
When playing a Warlock, you will find that one of the great
pleasures is being adaptable. Check out a few tips to make sure
that you can get the right effect:
Keep your Soul Shards handy. You need to me for many things,
but without them, you cannot summon your minion. If you have no
Soul Shards, use your Imp to help you create some.
Warlocks cannot heal themselves. Consider making Alchemy and
Herbalism your professions. This allows you to get Lifeblood,
which is a heal over time spell and to create potions and
elixirs as well.
When choosing gear, look for the equipment that will give you
bonuses to your Intelligence and Stamina.
I hope you have found my WoW Warlock Guide
useful and have learnt something from it.
